Forensic Quality and the Queensland Forensic Laboratory in Australia signed an agreement in which Forensic Quality will work closely with the forensic laboratory to develop and update its quality management system, with the goal of achieving accreditation under the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard.
During meetings with senior management and quality managers, emphasis was placed on the three types of decisions: managerial, technical, and quality decisions; as well as the importance of these decisions being made by personnel competent in the relevant area.
Like the Queensland Forensic Laboratory, many forensic laboratories worldwide have excellent, competent, and committed human capital dedicated to developing a quality management system. This is essential for achieving accreditation.
